Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister

If you've read his other books, you'd probably already know that this guy has a penchant for writting about underdogs of famous literary pieces. His most famous work is "WICKED!" which has been turned into a broadway musicale: "WICKED - THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE WICKED WITCH OF THE WEST". Yes! That's the same witch Dorothy stole her ruby slippers from while the dwarfs were singing "Ding dong the Witch is Dead"! This time he writes about Cinderela's stepsiters. If you're going to read the book though, be sure to keep a thesaurus near you since he uses EXREMELY old english (e.g. hoyden, furze, crag, etc.). It's far from being a Shakespearian but it's not as easy a read as Anne Rice. At times, you'd feel like you're reading it for a book report because the flow of the story is quite slow ... but in the end, you'll realize that it's worth all the effort.

Think of me as a friggin' jologs for all I care. This band rocks! Clem & Mcoy's voices are as soothing as having a smoke while answering Mother Nature's call but FAR FROM BEING a boring cooning to put you to a catatonic sleep. Their songs are uber refreshing to listen to when all you hear over the radio are Sheryn, Nina and Sarah who all sound like chickens being slaughtered for a fuckin' fiesta (don't get me wrong though, I love their voice, but I'd rather keep my ability to hear for a longer time). It's really sad this group became mainstream and are now stereotyped as baduy. Try their "Strike Whilst the Iron is Hot" album and you'll be surprised how poetic their lyrics are. If you're planning to BUY (not pirate) this song, be sure you don't have any suicidal tendencies 'coz this has a certain effect of depression and longing. Peace out!
